About Us
ShakeSoc ANU was founded in 2019 for the appreciation and performance of Shakespearean theatre at the Australian National University.
Since then, our community has grown, with ever more opportunities for our members to get involved in. When you (inevitably) decide to join us, you too will gain access to various events, cheaper show tickets, and, most importantly, a group of lovely theatre kids!

2026: 'The Bard and Beyond'
'The Bard and Beyond' theme promotes the exploration of Shakespeare's lesser-known works, along with those of his contemporaries and modern adaptations of the Bard.

Despite an ever-changing world, the fundamental experience of humanity is universal, and we seek to honour this by learning from Shakespeare and his contemporaries, both in their historical and modernised forms, for continued theatrical growth.
